Dr Pamela Seaton earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of New England (UNE). She brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to her training workshops, consultancy and clinical work. Dr Seaton has special interest and expertise in diagnosis, treatment and support of children, adolescents and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) which was formerly know as Asperger's Syndrome. She is highly regarded for her work in this area. In her clinical practice, Dr Seaton enjoys providing a safe and supportive environment for children, adolescents and adults to explore and understand their current difficulties and to learn new skills to help them achieve their individual goals. In addition to her expertise in Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Dr Seaton has specialised training and clinical experience in:
  • Psychological and psychometric assessment, including Neuropsychological assessment
  • Acquired brain injury
  • Assessment of and intervention for ADD, ADHD and behavioural disorders, such as Conduct and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
  • Assessment of, and individual and family therapy for Psychosis
  • Anxiety disorders, including panic and phobias
  • Eating disorders assessment and intervention
  • Treatment for sleep disturbance
  • Chronic Pain management
  • Depression.
Dr Seaton is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. In recent years spent a term as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Toowoomba Branch of the APS. She is an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA)and a member of the Australian Centre on Quality of Life (ACQOL).
